Hello Members,

Happy New Year one and all!!!

We've passed the winter solstice so the days are already getting longer. We're moving in the right direction. If Mother Nature will cooperate, the Executive Board is hopeful we'll have a great golf season.

In the next few days you will receive a PRELIMINARY Tournament Schedule. Some details are missing - tee times, greens fees etc. - but its enough to get you started on your plans for the summer. As soon as the golf courses go back to work and get their acts together, we'll forward a complete, finalized schedule.

Look for the membership registration form on February 1st. Although we do not know the exact amount yet, the cost of the GHIN system is increasing and our dues will increase to reflect that rate hike. Please be mindful of the April 1st deadline.

An ad hoc committee was formed to work on revising the election procedure. Although we will not hold another election until the fall of 2024, this project requires the development of a procedure, amending the constitution to reflect the change, presentation to the membership and, of course, your vote. We'll keep you informed as the project progresses.

Also, a revised, updated version of the GVWGA Website is currently in the testing phase and will be available soon.

Finally, the Spring Banquet is just around the corner. Keep an eye out for the flyer to make your reservation.
